The Rivière des Pluies veterinary clinic is proud to announce that it has achieved Silver level in the “Cat Friendly Clinic” programme.
The clinic recently demonstrated its commitment to feline well-being by becoming the first veterinary practice in Reunion to be accredited by the International Society of Feline Medicine’s “Cat Friendly Clinic” programme.
The ISFM’s programme aims to promote well-being and high standards of care for cats and to ensure a positive veterinary experience for all feline visitors and inpatients.
The programme requires the clinic to meet strict criteria that include providing cat-friendly premises and training staff to better understand feline behaviour to minimise stress for both inpatients and outpatients. The criteria mandate separate waiting rooms for dogs and cats, cat-adapted hospital cages, as well as veterinary equipment specifically designed for feline care including blood pressure monitors, heated mats, ultrasound scanners, analysers tailored to feline health parameters, etc.
